Letter K Fun

Letter K Fun
These will load in just a few seconds and are worth the wait! We dance, shout the K words out and "sorta" sing along.

K song with lots of words, isolated sound and instruction on printing

Story Bots with lots of funny K words and silliness

Folksy song about Kevin the Kangaroo and K adventures
Owen is working on one of the 17 activities that are available for the children as they enter the classroom.

I'm playing the part of a kangaroo in these not so flattering pictures. The "Preppers" are running around the room finding K's and placing them in my "Pouch." As they place them in, they make the sound "k"

Charlotte makes a K out of blocks

When an activity is completed, the children color in a block or place a check by their name, then place their work on a drying rack.  The work is usually pretty drippy with glue and paint. Moderation is not a concept fully understood!

On Wednesday, Miss Amy helped our class make rubbings with keys.

On Thursday, Miss Andrea helped the class with a K-kite project.

As we practice our word wall words, we follow fun motions as we shout the letters and the words. Some of these include stomping, clapping, snapping, whispering, dancing and acting like an egyptian!

Working hard on our hibernation book.  Be sure to have your "Prepper" read their book to you.

Remember, every day your child has 20 to 30 minutes in our Minds in Motion room. The activities are based on the Minds in Motion brain maze and other developmentally appropriate activities.

We are fortunate to be associated with Candace Meyer whose program originated in Southern Indiana and is now located in Louisville Kentucky.

Here is an overview of the concept and more information on the program~

Our Bible Story this week was the Feeding of the Five Thousand: Nothing is too hard for God.  Our verse was "Keep your tongue from evil." Psalm 34:13 At first, when asked, the "Preppers" thought that the verse meant: Don't stick your tongue out at people!  A very good interpretation. We talked about our "tongue" representing our words. Our words can be negative or positive~ and we practiced some examples.  Here we are praying before our snack.

Have a wonderful, blessed week-end and here's hoping that next week is a full week!
