"Celebrate the Nativity" and the letter "B" for "B"aby Jesus!

"Celebrate the Nativity" and the letter "B" for "B"aby Jesus!
Our catchy tunes for the letter "B"

Elsie eats "B" ananas and "B"ears and shows off her "B"aby Jesus.

Crew made a "B" with beads.

C.J. Dane and Lincoln, dotting "B" for "B"aby Jesus

Campbell, Dylan and Bree.

Campbell and Sarah "B"uilt letters "B" and "b."

We ordered the words in the sentence, "The Star was big and bright." Dane, Lincoln and Campbell.

Dylan and Hunter stamped the numerals 1 to 10 on a sheet of visitors to the Nativity.

Eliza, Adeline, Bree, Crew,  Rayna, Eden and Campbell sharing the number stamps.

And you thought you had a lot of Christmas baking to do…..
(I'll have to ask Crew for an explanation?)

Elsie and Adeline can't resist the invitation to a good book!

Lincoln in some serious construction.

And there is always, always, animal play.

 Eden enjoys playing teacher.

Allie plays with the Fire Station, then heads down to Minds in motion as a rain deer. (they are quiet, you know!)

Some of our "B" Show and Tells…..

Crew and another "B"atman.

(Checking with Owen's mama for an clarification on his "b" show and tell……)
Thanks, Mom, it's a "b"ox of "b"andaids! or…
blurry box of bandaids :)

The "B"oy  Dane and his "B"e  Green T-shirt

Eliza and her "B"eautiful "B"ow

To count all the "B"oys that brought "B"atman toys- they stood in the 10 frame. Some children are beginning to recognize the configuration of numbers. One less on the top row is 4. This is a wonderful foundation for number sense.

Elsie shared her "B"ible and had marked the Christmas story. As I read the story, several of the children took turns with the parts of
"Caesar Augustus" commanding the holy couple to "GO BE REGISTERED!!!!!", Mary and Joseph with a doll for the baby Jesus.

Crew, in the role of Caesar

Owen as Joseph and Elsie as Mary: And the wrapped him in cloths and put him in the manger.

Hunter, practicing, "GO BE REGISTERED"

Channing as Jesus and Charlotte as Mary

Campbell in the role of Joseph, and Bree, as Mary, sweetly tending to the baby Jesus.

Dane as Caesar Augustus, Campbell as Joseph and Sarah as Mary

This time, we had a female ruler, Eliza. Crew as Joseph and Adeline as Mary.

Following the order, the couple had to travel (around the room)
to Bethlehem.

As the couple lay Jesus in the manger, the rest of the class made soft animal sounds.
It was amazing how sweetly and solemnly the "preppers" participated.

Best wishes for a wonderful 2014.  This year your 4s will turn 5 and your 5s will turn 6. This mama, (grandmama) will remind you that it flies by. Be deliberate in slowing down, and taking time with your not so very little ones. See you next week.
Blessings- Miss Paula
