Flying Through the Month of October!

Don't miss the videos at the bottom of the blog.

We began the week with a  little fun tactile and small motor development activity. We pounded T's into a pumpkin.  Nearly everyone wanted a turn and enjoyed the challenge.

Lots of opportunities for "C" activities followed.

"C" is for Caterpillar with "7" pompoms.

"C" is for candy, 7 pieces!

"C" is for Cup-Cakes with candy sprinkles.

"C" was in our Bible verse, "Children, obey your parents in all things for this is well pleasing to the Lord. " Colossians 3:20

We are learning and playing and making memories in our many centers:

Hunter is conducting class and going over skills with his students. I wish you could have heard his "teaching!"

We have a rather unusual fixation on being animals. Occasionally I must ask them to turn back into humans!

Miss Andrea helped our "Preppers" make a pumpkin project that sequenced the process form seed to pumpkin: See if they can tell you about it.

Little Miss Rayna looked like the "Princess of White" on Friday.

Fire Prevention…...
We were blessed with another visit from Dane's daddy and the Lafayette Township Fire Department.

Along with a wonderful video on fire safety, Fireman Brandon reminds us to not to hide, but go outside! Also, he reminded us how to yell for help if a firefighter would need to find us in our house.

We practiced crawling- which we would do if our house had smoke.

We even got to go inside a REAL Fire truck!

We worked on doing our best in our Minds in Motion room.

We have nearly mastered getting our socks and shoes on…all…    by…. our…. self!

Fridays are always special with our letter of the week and color of the week clothing show and tell.   Here are just a few:
 Cardinal Cap
Cars
and more cars
Charlotte loves this Cat- we decided she can bring it back for letter k and we will call it her "kitty"
Castle

Camera

Candy

For white, we found cute little polkadots on Allies pants.

Some of our white clothing~

We tasted pumpkin seeds- most tried them whole, then we made a scatter graph to post whether we liked them or not. Owen said they taste like the animals at a petting zoo!!!!! I'm sure he's never tasted the animals there, but actually, they have a certain strawish* taste!!
*made up word :)

The Preppers* are learning to make observations on our graphs.  I was surprised how many liked the seeds. (It was getting close to lunch time??)
