Dear Kinder-Prep Parents,
I am amazed at the progress your children are making in class.  This week our theme was family. On Friday my family traveled to Western Kentucky to meet up with some of our immediate and extended family! It was wonderful hearing about your families, seeing your home posters and sharing through books. Our Bible story was about Jacob and his 12 sons! We learned that God has a plan for our lives even through the tough times.  I hope you enjoy pictures of our active learning....
After hanging up their bags, placing their folders on the shelf and signing in, children who arrive early may select an activity.

The "Preppers" were anxious to tell about their family posters.
We were surprised to see how many of our names had an "e" or started with an "E."  Some had both. We found good examples of long e and short e sounds in our names.

The actual pictured link showed up on last weeks page!! (you "tech-ies" can stop laughing!)

During Learning Centers time, Campbell and Elsie were among those who chose to "Play School."  I love to see this! And what a great way to reinforce learning.

Eden made an uppercase "E."

Dane and C.J. worked on stamping letters.
There is added excitement as the children wear the color of the week and bring and item that begins with the letter of the week. Sarah showed us a picture of two eagles. She and her mom wrote notes on the back of the picture and Sarah read them!

We make time every day for our Minds in Motion room. Every activity is tied to a brain specific brain development and specific learning skill. Your child is blessed to have this opportunity provided for them.Minds in Motion (click to see more)
Crew and Adeline
are very adept at "Jumping Jack Flash."
C.J. is working on "Bean Bag Boogie."
Charlotte is doing the "Puppy Dog Craw."

Sarah on the mini tramp.

Bree on the "Boogie Board."
Following our Bible story, we have prayer before snack. Several of the children have volunteered to pray.

Our outside time is always fun. Rayna makes a basket!
We figured out if we were the oldest, youngest, middle or only child. We placed a smily face with our name on the right rectangle. This is called a scatter graph.
For about 20 minutes a day we work on reviewing our content. I'm watching Owen who always tries his best. Elsie seems to love this part of the morning. Dylan has shown such and interest and is making great progress. Charlotte is remembering to raise her hand and her best friend, Hunter,is hard at work.
Sarah can write her name with an upper case S.
Elsie is proud of her work.
Each child told me in their own words what their family likes to do.  I can relate to Dylan's! (yikes I left out the a in restaurant!-I'll fix that Wednesday.)
