An "Appley" Week at Lafayette Academy!
We began our week by taste testing four kinds of apples and creating a graph. Gala and Golden Delicious were our favorites. We ate Apples every day.
Allie is using apples to make apple prints.
Miss Andrea helped Adeline and Allie make an apple tree picture by using their arms for the trunks, their hands for the foliage and their fingerprints for the apples.
Eden's family provided apples treats.
Our letter was H. We sang, danced, and made the
Hh sound with our song.
We placed stickers of hearts or stamped hearts on large templates of Hh's. On Friday we wore "h" hats and brought creative items that began with the Hh sound.
We sang our "green" song and wore green on Friday.
Friday was a beautiful day outside.
Hunter's "h" is a "h" helmet too.
Bree brought a "h" ~ "horse."
I think these are Channing's green ninjas. He also has on a "h" Hurley shirt printed in green and showed us his "h" green Hulk costume.
Lincoln brought a "h" helicopter and has on his "h" hat.
Adeline's "h" hippo matches her "h" hat.
Owen planned early in the week to bring his green "h" Hummer!
Dane shows off his "h" helicopter in his green shirt.
More green shirts on Eden and Sarah.
Charlotte shows off her "h" helicopter. She said it's her dad's. They do tell all:)
Crew and Allie pose in their "h" hats.
What a great smile from a green shirted Dylan.
Her "h" Hello Kitty put away, Rayna chooses to play with a ball.
Every day we have the wonderful privilege to exercise our minds.
Our Bible story was the wonderful parable of the parodical son. Following a string of horrible choices, he humbly returns to his father expecting condemnation and is immediately forgiven. What a beautiful picture of the grace of our Lord. We also talked about "honoring" our parents.
See you next week ~ Miss Paula
