Welcome Spring!!!
Following our pledge, we sing a song about the Alphabet each morning. We also count to 100 following along on our 100s chart!
Playing "Around the World"
At the beginning of the year we used letters, now we are using our sight words…The children sit in a circle, one child standing behind another - I hold up a word and the first to read it gets to move clockwise to the next child. If the child sitting is the first to name the word, the child standing takes their place on the floor and the "winner" moves one child over and stands behind his next opponent.
We focused on color words and rainbows……….

(if the video of the Prepper's prayer doesn't play, you might be able to locate it on "my videos youTube" under "L.A.P. Preppers recite the Lord's Prayer") You techies, help!! I tried Vimeo and my youtube and about 2 hours of effort-if you are familiar with google blogger and have tips, PLEASE let me know!)
Our Bible story focused on our theme of amazing Jesus. He gave us an example of how to pray~The Lord's Prayer~ which we recited each day before our snack. We used objects to remind us of parts of the prayer: an earth-to remind us to bring a little heaven down here by our kindness, a shirt and a piece of fruit to remind us to be thankful for our provisions and to know He will give us what we need. A bandaid to remind us we can take our hurts to Him. And a heart to remind us to tell Jesus we are sorry when we make mistakes, to say sorry to anyone we have hurt and to forgive others!
May the Lord richly bless you this spring!
