Eric Carle and Beautiful Butterflies

Eric Carle and Beautiful Butterflies
Did your know that "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" was illustrated by Eric Carle? Shortly following that collaboration with Bill Martin Jr., Eric Carle wrote "123 to the Zoo" and "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." Those books launched his career… 40 years ago! Mr. Carle turned 85 in June and continues to write and illustrate children's books. He has an amazing talent that mixes colorful illustrations with themes that connect with children.
All of our Thursday classed joined together for a wonderful visit and demonstration with "The Butterfly Lady.

We saw tiny eggs on milkweed…..

Eric Carle's "Walter the Baker" is a tale about the origin of the pretzel.  Do we look like pretzel?

Please pass along our invitation to your child's grandparents for Thursday's celebration of Grandparents Day 8:30 to 9:30.

It might be fun to hear your child's retelling of  our Bible story this week: the story of Zacchaeus
