Winter Animals and the Letter V

 Animals in winter
Adapt: some animals prepare for winter hiding food and or growing a heavier coat.

Look at those sweet cheeks!

We are eating like squirrels, who adapt by growing more fur and storing nuts: We are eating like squirrels

Migrate:some animals move to warmer areas

We are geese flying in a Vv to warmer areas
We are fish that are swimming to warmer waters

We are a herd of caribou moving to a warmer area

Even some insects migrate. Here we are monarch butterflies migrating to South America. We land all over the trees.

Hibernate:some animals go to sleep for long periods of time

We are frogs digging in the mud to hibernate
and of course, our favorite, bears!
And what cozy bear wouldn't love a good winter story!
The pjs were adorable

And representing his family in full PJ dress!

As you know by now, we made some messy bird feeders to help out our feathered friends...

Please take a picture and send it to me if you catch a bird feasting on our feeder.
