Number 20, letter Y and "Under the Sea!"

Reading~Reading~Reading!

Digraphs and Blends

Taking a bit of play time to practice

Guided Reading

Word work and vocabulary practice

One very important strategy, "get your mouth ready" (make the first sound/s) and "check the picture." When readers do both it is called cross checking. It USUALLY works pretty well. But this little prepper read, "I am swiffering the floor!"

Each of us got to predict and test whether items would sink or float.

Examining seashells

Rainbow fish and a jellyfish were among our arts and crafts with Miss Amy.

Y Show and tell
(Our Sweet Miss Michelle in back getting ready to work with a group that "almost" knows all their letters and sounds. Another young lady "graduated" out of the group today!)

Yarn

Yogurt

Yahtzee Game

and a yoyo, yellow ball, yellow car, yellow play dough, yellow french fries and a Yawn! (really)

Fun with our friends

Yummy Snacks

Miss Tracy bought us a race car!

Outdoor fun!

We helped paint "moon rocks" for an activity for children in the hospital.
And we prayed for the children
We practiced 10 to 19

Our Bible Story was "The Greedy Farmer" he just wanted more and more and wouldn't share what he had. (prompted lots of talk on sharing)

Have a blessed week-end
