Eric Carle and Butterflies

Eric Carle and Butterflies

"Margie," the "Butterfly Lady," told us all about Monarch butterflies. They go all the way to Mexico!

They begin as tiny eggs that look like dots!

When they hatch they are tiny little caterpillars.  They eat-eat-eat- and grow, grow, grow

When the time is right, the connect to a branch, hang like a "J" and form a chrysalis.

Out of the chrysalis comes a beautiful butterfly.  In day or so they are strong enough to begin their long journey.

Look closely in the area above the red hoop!
