Dancing to our letter songs…..
We decorated "dirty Dd's"
and practiced dotting Jj's.
Our theme was Ginger Bread and we enjoyed the traditional tale and cut out pretend gingerbread men with our playdough.
Our first attempt, we made 34 gingerbread men in a day of pretend baking. Here we are using the "ten frame" idea to place the ginger bread men in two rows of five. We had 3 trays of 10 and 4 extras. (we will try to beat our record next week)
...any chance you get to demonstrate a group of ten as two rows of five (one above the other) makes a good foundation for math sense~and will reinforce what we are doing here at school.
Our Sweet visit with "Earth and Fire" Every student present had a mom or dad to assist- thanks to Earth and Fire ~ great parents!
Our Bible Story all month will be centered around the birth of Jesus. Following our story the children decided to sing "Happy Birthday," to Jesus.
May your celebrations lead you to spontaneously worship Christ.
