Practicing our sight word books

Learning our vocabulary words~

Making short sentences with our sight words.

Writing a sentence with our new sight word, "like."

Working with a few to make sure all letters and sounds can be named~ We are almost there!!

Here we are subitizing ~ I'm showing patterns of objects from 1 to 5 and the children are recognizing them without counting

Card's like these….

or…

This helps build foundational math sense.

Here we place a determined amount of objects on the green square, another amount of objects on the yellow square, then push them together and over to the red square to solve simple addition problems!

Time to imagine and explore

During our exploration time, the children who choose to practice reading get a surprise reward~

Lots of exploring goes on, daily, as our children arrive. This jumpstarts our brains and gets us ready to learn~

We are doing "dental health" next week and had an early visit from a dentist~

Here, with a lot of imagination, you see our "Parable of the Lost Sheep" (Jesus tells the story of a shepherd who,
when realizing one lamb is missing, leaves the 99 to find and save the missing one. (The heavens rejoice when someone turns to or returns to Christ.)

After counting his sheep, the shepherd realizes one has wandered off into danger….

After scaring off a threatening wolf, the shepherd returns the lamb to the fold

Heaven rejoices!!

Have wonderful week-end and count your blessings!
