Farm Fun

Farm Fun
We had a similar poster:
My Big Red Barn
I wonder what's in the big red barn.
I wonder what's init for me.
It starts with ______
And it rhymes with______
Oh what do you think it could be?
Ch--ick, R--ooster, c--at, h--en,  Ch--icken, m--ouse, etc
these are onsets (the first sound our sounds before the vowels and rimes, the sounds following the onset) it's really spelled "rime!"
Our preppers could read the poem and easily guess the answers.

Popcorn masquerading as cauliflower!

And "lamb" for snacks

Our last day of opening routines...

Some pretty cool handprint horses with miss Amy

And handprint chicks

We are always up for using our imagination!

Continuing to practice our reading skills~
"The Chick and the Duckling" is from a retired first grade series. It is a level "d" and would be used at the end of kindergarten or beginning of first grade!
We loved corn in the sensory ben!

Thankfully the rain held off for our Berry Twist adventure.
Then one final playtime with our friends.

The year went so fast! Along with their physical growth, our preppers grew in knowledge, they grew socially and they grew spiritually.
Thanks for all the support for me (pitching in with parties, checklists and just being encouraging).  And thanks for working with your children (having them so prepared for class and reviewing skills with them).
And a final thanks from Amy and I for lavishing us with thoughtful end of year gifts!
May God truly bless you in this adventure of parenthood.
